Twister Design is a design and marketing communications firm founded by Andy Berner and operated out of Traer, Iowa. The firm provides print and Web design services for museums, universities, non-profits, governments, companies, and individuals. Projects include brochures, exhibition catalogues, fundraising materials, invitations, banners, identity systems, annual reports, and Web architecture and design. Our areas of expertise include project management, photography, and public relations writing.

Prior to moving back to his home state of Iowa and establishing Twister Design, Andy Berner was Director of Communications for the Ackland Art Museum at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously he was a development officer and grantwriter for Environmental Defense and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Andy holds a B.A. in art and communications from the University of Iowa and an M.F.A. in photography from Bard College’s Milton Avery Graduate School for the Arts.
